OpenCart 1.5.5.1 Major Bug – Missing Orders

We were testing opencart 1.5.5.1 and there is a major bug that we have not seen a solution for, it is when you are using Authorize.net as your payment gateway and you set new orders to go in to pending, but it goes to missing orders, so when orders come in to opencart you usually see them under pending if your site works correctly.

But they are all going to missing orders, so you won’t know if you got an order unless you get an email from Authorize.net saying, your store has an order, if you miss that email, you may not know any order came in, unless you check your order filter all day for new orders, by searching  missing orders which is wasted time.

We searched the opencart forum, and did not see a working solution, all the solutions did not work.

******* UPDATE As of 10/21/13 there is still no fix for missing orders, we tested for credit cards using Authorize.net as our credit card gateway, and no fix in the opencart forum listed works, some just cause more errors.

Here is an example of how daniel kerr the founder of opencart treats people, like a nasty Fu #$%^&*()!   A%^&*

I am still having missing orders also. (Default Authorize.net AIM payment method.) About 1 missing order per day out of 20.

Does anyone else use auth.net with no issues? Or could this be a bug?

I have no clue how to trouble shoot this? Before I upgraded to 1.5.5.1, it was not a problem.

this is a feature called saved cart! stop complaining. this is how you think something should work! not a bug! if you want a custom cart pay for the coding yourself!

Nice response dan for someone that needs help with your shopping cart.

Now the user is asking a legitimate question to get his store to work, then the owner of opencart gives such a nasty answer, why would anyone want to use opencart for their ecommerce shopping cart ?

If you have to deal with a NASTY Fu #$%^&*()!   A%^&* its not worth it, besides opencart SUCKS then if you have a problem & ask a question you have to deal with this guy, not worth it, stay away from opencart, it SUCKS & you won’t get any good help from the founder of opencart, If you have to stay with opencart, ask other forum members, so don’t bother asking dan kerr!!!!!!!!

PrestaShop Blows Away OpenCart Part 1

Since the founder of opencart ripped me off & his name is Daniel Kerr, & won’t give me my money back or won’t give me access to any of my downloads I paid for I have been switching over my online stores from opencart to prestashop. I was using opencart 1.5.5.1 & I moved over to PrestaShop 1.5.4.1 & PrestaShop just blows away opencart, there are so many standard features included with PrestaShop its not even funny.

Also http://www.prestashop.com has a wealth of information and resources on that site to help you install their shopping cart and also all the great forums, people are really willing to help you if you have a question on adding modules, running your store etc.. plus on http://www.youtube.com there is a lof of great video tutorials out their on prestashop it makes life so much easier using prestashop 1.5.4.1 over opencart 1.5.5.1

Plus I found that on the Prestashop forums, the moderators are so nice & always willing to help you and offer solutions as with opencart forums, if you ask a question, the moderator or the founder daniel kerr is insulting you & putting you down for asking a question as if we are all suppose to be opencart experts and not ask any questions.

Hello opencart, that is why you have forums to communicate, not put people down or try and make them look stupid and insult them when trying to get an answer or a solution to their below par opencart shopping cart.

To update, Opencart 1.5.6 has been released and also sucks, see the many bugs n that new release listed in opencarts own forum here http://forum.opencart.com/viewtopic.php?f=161&t=106692&start=20

$$$$$$$$ UPDATE 10/21/13

PrestaShop has now been updated to version 1.5.6 and is 100% FREE

Check out all the features this great Prestashop ecommerce shopping cart has, it blows away opencart

Hello World OpenCart Sucks!

OpenCart Founder Daniel Kerr Ripped Me Off

Here is just a short overview of how the owner of opencart Daniel Kerr ripped me off and why opencart sucks.

First of all I have been using opencart for a couple of years and bought many extensions from the opencart store. Recently I bought 2 opencart extensions that did not work, I tried contacting the developers several times over a few weeks & I heard nothing back from them. So I put a dispute in with paypal.com explaining to them the situation and not even 5 seconds later I get an email from opencart that my account has been banned & I can no longer download any of my past purchases or get any updated modules that I had previously paid for and had no problems with before. I called paypal & they couldn’t believe opencart would do that & gave me an instant refund on the 2 opencart modules I had problems with originally. Then Daniel Kerr emails me saying I should never have gone through paypal for my refund & I should have contacted him first. So of course it doesn’t say that on his site unless he changed it now,I am like to him how am I suppose to know this, so he starts calling me names in the email & basically laughing at me that I will never get the rest of my money back for the opencart extensions I had previously bought or have access to them and how I just lost hundreds of dollars now. All I wanted is access to the modules I did buy to keep up with updates and this guy is a totally arrogant, he has no clue on customer service, he just could not believe I put in for a refund with paypal for 2 opencart extensions that did not work!  My advice to anyone considering opencart, move on to another free opensource shopping cart like Prestashop which has a load of features that opencart does not have and is miles ahead in innovative features.

So thanks Dan for opening my eyes to prestashop, and hopefully I can open other prospective small business owners to use Prestashop instead of opencart plus I can do a lot more things with that software than your software and plus a lot more features are included for free & you won’t be getting my 20% profit off all the opencart extensions I was buying anymore. Dan if you don’t like this blog, sorry man, I have all your emails from you to prove everything I am saying here on what happened. So buyer beware of opencart.

Coming soon, more reasons why opencart is inferior to most free opensource shopping cart systems.
